Ukrainian refugee kids with cancer need your help!
We are hosting a summer camp for these children.
What do you do if you lose a handsome seven-year-old child to cancer? What do you do when you feel unbearable pain? How do you keep from falling into the trap of darkness when the circumstances keep pushing you there? Hope International Ministries (HIM) over the last two years has partnered with Julia Sanko, who lost her son in the battle with cancer. After an excruciating period of crying and grieving, in the midst of the darkest period in her life, Julia has found her calling:
To help and support other Ukrainian refugee families whose children have received a cancer diagnosis.
We have been working alongside with Julia and one of the best oncological hospitals in Europe, outside of Milan, Italy. Last year, we delivered Christmas gifts to these families, as well as brought a team of trauma healing therapists and ministers to pray for them, but more importantly, to teach them to pray on their own. Many of them prayed to Jesus for the rst time ever. This summer, on top of the other scheduled camps, our ministry is being asked to organize a one-week day camp for these families. Due to their treatments, some of the children can’t even sit for a long time, but some of the recovering children would love to participate in simple and easy activities!
These children urgently need to hear the gospel message. They need to be immersed in God’s love! For more than 20 years, Hope International Ministries’ summer camps have been a place where every child can sing, play, and have fun, while learning about Jesus and His love for them.
HIM needs to raise $12,000 toward this week-long event. As we have done over the last few years, we want to walk alongside and minister in whatever way we can to these precious hildren and their parents.
