Our Missions

We are dedicated to creating generational impact through these three branches:

1

Children and Youth Ministry

Sharing the hope of Christ with youth

Kids Camps

This is a week-long summer day-camp for elementary school-aged children. Throughout the week, children learn about the gospel through age-appropriate and engaging ways. This includes Bible messages, worship music, games and crafts.

Children’s Centers

These after-school centers offer thoughtful programming for disadvantaged children coming from broken and troubled homes. Each center’s goal is to help meet the physical, emotional and spiritually needs of every child walking through its doors. This is accomplished through creating a safe space for daily Bible study, mentorship and homework assistance. At the center, children are also given hot meals and the chance to play and be creative in ways they may not have at home. HIM sponsors the leaders from local churches who run these centers.

Discover Camps

This is HIM’s largest evangelistic event of the year! Teens travel to a Christian campsite for a week spent away from home. This week is filled with jam-packed activities, all pointing to the love of Christ and hope found through relationship with Him. Special speakers, guest worship artists and creative activities keep it fresh and exciting.

2

Equipping Emerging Ministry Leaders

Sharing the help of Christ with young leaders

Retreats

These three-day retreats take place in Eastern Europe and beyond. Each day of this experience includes multiple sessions with worship, keynote speakers, prayer, and personal time. Young leaders receive resources, engage in networking opportunities, and learn how to effectively reach more for Christ - both locally and internationally

Scholarships

Finances should never be a barrier to someone responding to the call God has put on that person’s life. Because of this, we dedicate a portion of donations towards providing scholarships to emerging leaders interested in pursuing a ministry vocation.

3

Refugee Trauma Healing

Sharing the healing of Christ with war refugees

Why Trauma Healing?

A Brief Overview of the War in Ukraine

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, more than eight million refugees–mostly women and children–have evacuated the country. As of spring 2023, about a third of them have returned to Ukraine. Traumatized and grief-stricken, these women and children are left with two choices: either suppressing their trauma, or trying to deal with it on their own. While we are praying for the war to end soon, the trauma is ongoing–as new updates and details emerge daily of loved ones being wounded or killed on the frontlines. As a response to this recurring trauma, HIM has developed a three-pronged strategy to bring trauma healing to those that need it most.

Trauma Healing Seminars

HIM seminars are strategically held in countries with the highest concentration of Ukrainian refugees including Poland, Romania, Moldova, Germany, Italy and Latvia. During the course of these seminars, individuals engage in worship and attend sessions led by Ukrainian and Russian speaking Christian trauma healing therapists. Refugees also receive free resources, referrals and prayer support.

Resources

The West has much greater access to Christian literature than Eastern Europe. That is why HIM is focusing a great portion of trauma relief efforts towards translating and publishing relevant books that can help guide Ukrainian refugees through the healing process for free. For just $5 a book can be published and delivered to a Ukrainian refugee.

GOAL: Publish 10,000 Books | NEED: $50,000

Long-Term Vision: Hope Trauma Healing Centers

Healing from trauma is an ongoing process. While our seminars and free resources offer a vital step towards healing, we want to take it to the next level. Over the next three years, HIM has a long-term vision to establish Hope Trauma Healing Centers in countries with the highest concentration of Ukrainian refugees including Poland, Romania, Moldova, Germany, Italy, Latvia and beyond. Hope Trauma Healing Centers will be run by local Christian volunteers, and will help provide ongoing physical, emotional and spiritual support to Ukrainian refugees.

GOAL: Establish 10 Centers | NEED: $100,000

Outreach Locations

For over 20 years, spanning 10 countries, HIM has been sharing the hope, help and healing of Christ with Russian and Ukrainian speaking populations.
