Dear ministry friends,
The Hope International Ministries continues to bring hope, help and healing of Christ to many people across Eastern Europe and beyond.
As you know, the situation with the war in Ukraine is not getting any better. In fact, more and more people are leaving their homeland and seeking shelter. Not so many countries are willing to help. The situation is desperate. Especially for women and children.
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, more than eight million refugees –mostly women, children and elderly people have evacuated from the country. Most of them want above anything else to return to Ukraine. In fact, tens of thousands of families have already done so. The reality is that lots of them have no more place to return to.
In the May we are planning to conduct young church leadership retreat in Latvia. HIM has been investing into raising a new generation of Christian leaders over the last 20 years.
The summer is going to be very busy for us as we conduct two summer camps for children at risk and refugee kids this year. Both will be in July, with one in Odesa region, Ukraine, and the other one in Latvia.
For the first time, we have been asked by the largest denomination in Ukraine to bring our experience and materials to a trauma healing retreat to 100 pastors and their spouses in Odesa region.
This event will take place in July. In fact, the need for trauma healing for pastors and church workers is so overwhelming, HIM has already been asked to consider a national retreat following the Odesa event.
I am planning to have my next trip to Latvia and Lithuania in May. During this trip I will speak at the young church leaders retreat in Latvia, and visit the Children Center in Kaunas, Lithuania.
I ask you to give generously to reach the shattered people of Ukraine with the life-transforming news that Jesus gave His life and was resurrected so they can have hope in this life and an eternity with God.
